With the advent of the “next-gen“ consoles, the PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X and One S became previous-generation consoles. Nowadays, most televisions keep up with the parameters that these consoles used to achieve. Nevertheless, based on some parameters, we have selected televisions for you, which we would classify as gaming and usable with the PS4 and Xbox One generations.

TVs for the PS4 and the Xbox One - We Recommend 4K Resolution
4K resolution is now the standard for not only console gaming, but also consuming any content. The latest generation PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X and One S already support 4K resolution. The older models, i.e. the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Slim or Xbox One can handle up to Full HD resolution, but we assume that their owners have already moved on to a newer generation, or are planning to do so soon. Due to the affordability of 4K screens, we would not reach for lower resolutions.
Enjoy Games on Large Screens
Most households today are equipped with televisions with a large diagonal, the most popular being the range of 50-70". The trend is clear and the reasons behind it as well. A stronger viewing experience and more details. However, it always depends on the space available in your room. Remember that sitting too close to the screen will not make it comfortable. TVs for the PS4 and Xbox One - Refresh Rate Shouldn't Bother You
Because neither the PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X, One S, nor other previous-generation TV consoles reached frame rates higher than 60 fps, you don't have to deal with this parameter when choosing your TV. All modern televisions are ready for the 50/60Hz signal (created according to NTSC and PAL standards) and can handle 60 fps on the console output. If you have bought or want to buy a 100Hz TV, you are going to be equipped to play on the latest "next-gen" consoles.
Gaming Mode That Minimises "Input Lag"
Every action game player knows how important reaction speed is. The so-called input lag is the delay between the press of a button and the event on the screen. Gaming mode limits all picture enhancements to reduce this interval. Instead of an interval of tens of milliseconds, this mode can achieve a few ms.
Play in HDR
The PlayStation 4 and later (the Xbox One S and later) support playing and streaming HDR10 video. If the console is connected to a TV that supports HDR10, the viewer can enjoy a higher level of detail and a greater colour depth. You can read more in the article What is HDR and how does it work?
