Automatic thread tension

Automatic thread tension is a function that independently sets the correct tension for all threads used when sewing on a coverlock machine. Coverlock machines work with several threads at once, and to create a high-quality and balanced stitch, it is necessary for each thread to have precisely set tension, meaning the degree of its tightness. On machines without this function, the user must manually adjust the tension for each thread using rotary dials, which often requires testing and fine-tuning on a fabric sample. With an automatic system, it is sufficient to select the stitch type, and the machine adjusts the tension of all threads itself. This simplifies the preparation of the machine for sewing and ensures consistent results without complicated manual adjustment.
