Serving function

The pan with serving function is designed so that the food can be served directly from it on the table after cooking. Its design is therefore often more sophisticated and aesthetically pleasing than that of conventional pans, so that it appears as a fully-fledged serving dish on the table. The key element is often the handle finish. Instead of the traditional long handle that gets in the way on the table, it has either two smaller handles on the sides, like a pot, or a removable handle. Removing the handle makes it easier to place the pan among other utensils and saves space. This eliminates the need to move food to another bowl or plate, reducing the amount of dirty dishes. The materials used for these pans, such as cast iron or strong stainless steel, often hold heat well, keeping food hotter for longer, even during serving.
