Affogato je pochoutka, která se nachází na pomezí mezi kávovým nápojem a dezertem. V českých kavárnách se tento druh kávy zabydlel teprve nedávno. Je ideálním osvěžením během horkého léta nebo sladkou tečkou po dobrém obědě. Obsahuje pouze dvě základní ingredience, proto si affogato snadno uděláte i sami doma. Připravili jsme pro vás jednoduchý recept a také tipy pro domácí přípravu.
Co je affogato káva?
Affogato potěší především milovníky sladkých příchutí kávy s mlékem. Originální recept obsahuje pouze kvalitní espresso a italskou vanilkovou zmrzlinu, popřípadě zmrzlinu fior di latte, která má typickou mléčnou příchuť. Originální recept doporučuje pouze jeden kopeček zmrzliny. Můžete se ale setkat s různými variacemi, které zahrnují dva a více kopečků zmrzliny a další sladké přísady (čokoládové hoblinky, čokoládovou zmrzlinu, šlehačku atd.). V tomto případě se již nejedná o originální recepturu kávového nápoje, ale spíše o dezert, který se affogatem pouze inspiroval.
Affogato: recept
Ingredience pro 1 porci:
1 silné espresso (45 ml)
1 kopeček italské vanilkové zmrzliny nebo zmrzliny fior di latte
Postup:
V lednici si s předstihem vychlaďte šálek, ve kterém chcete affogato podávat.
Připravte si kvalitní espresso ideálně v automatickém kávovaru, moka konvičce nebo přes jakýkoliv filtr (aeropress, dripper atd.).
Do vychlazeného hrníčku vložte kopeček zmrzliny a zalijte horkou kávou.
Okamžitě servírujte.

Jak a kdy vzniklo affogato
Affogato má svůj původ v Itálii. Italové jsou známí svou vášní pro dobrou kávu a zmrzlinu. Affogato v překladu znamená doslova „utopený“. Zmrzlina je v tomto případě utopená ve vynikajícím espressu, které často doplňuje také sladký likér. Z Itálie se affogato rozšířilo do celého světa, přičemž největší popularitě se těší v USA a Austrálii. Oblíbili si jej ale i Japonci, kteří do něj přidávají zelený čaj Matcha.
Tipy na domácí úpravy affogata
Pro přípravu affogata používejte pouze kvalitní zrnkovou nebo mletou kávu.
Pro přípravu kávy z filtru doporučujeme použít více kávy. Káva na affogato by měla být velmi silná, aby v kombinaci se zmrzlinou dostatečně vynikla její chuť.
Affogato můžete doplnit také porcí sladkého italského likéru s lískooříškovou příchutí (nebo jinými sladkými likéry dle vašeho výběru) a šlehačkou.
Affogato je sladká kávová pochoutka, která obsahuje kvalitní silné espresso a italskou vanilkovou zmrzlinu. Tento kávový dezert si můžete dopřát jako příjemné letní osvěžení nebo jako sladkou tečku po dobrém jídle.
