Elegant
Does not flex under a 24" monitor
It ensures that the monitor is at the correct height with a standard stand. I've gone for a height-adjustable monitor
Fits a laptop underneath - saves desk space
no slipping

I leave the PC case on top of it so it's not on the floor, but it could easily hold a larger monitor.
Easy to assemble.
Solid.
Well washable.
Basically a wooden cutting board with metal legs, if you don't sit on it, it's not supposed to break.

looks good
the legs are not stiff enough, it moves from front to back (but it does not bend, there is no risk of the monitor falling)

the size and load capacity for me, because I built a desktop computer right on top of it: ), so that it is not directly under the desk on the floor, does not catch so much dust and does not impose a robotic vacuum cleaner that goes in and vacuums under this
