As I was told by the technician to get the router back into operation, the extender generally does not amplify the signal, it just sends the signal further at the strength it is at its location. The pictures are therefore misleading.
We have underfloor heating and I think there is a foil underneath, anyway I had an unstable signal for the camera one floor below and 10m away. The tech advised me to place the extender on the same floor as the router but above the camera and now it has 2 commas.
You have to download the Tether app to install it, and then watch out for router passwords and don't reset the router if it fails the first time, like I did. You can create additional passwords for the device or leave the same ones as the router.
The product doesn't have its own instructions, you follow the instructions from Tether, but even so, some things went trial and error for me. I still don't consider myself an idiot: -) .
I didn't find in the instructions what the single button with the lock symbol is for, I thought it was a pairing button but that didn't work for me.
