Frequently Asked Questions

• Can anyone buy through One Third?

  All customers—natural persons—can use the One Third program, provided they meet the following conditions:

  • valid registration at Alza.cz for at least 3 months
  • Permanent residence address matching the address on the ID + national identification number
  • made purchases to the value of at least CZK 5,000 incl. VAT during the last 12 months
  • 2 completed orders (not returned, not cancelled)

  Legal entities cannot make purchases through the One Third program. However, this option is available to self-employed individuals.

• How do you approve my purchase?

  We perform a credit check before approving orders. We use several sources to evaluate your creditworthiness and determine your credit rating. If the score is OK, you can use the One Third program.
  However, the approval of a third-party purchase is not legally binding and Alza reserves the right not to approve a purchase. Unfortunately, we cannot communicate the reasons. Even in this case, you can still buy the goods in instalments or at full price.

• I did not pass the credit check. Do I still have a chance to make my purchase with One Third?

  Unfortunately, no. You can request a classic instalment plan or purchase the item at full price.

• What goods can I buy via One Third?

  You can buy products marked with the One Third logo. There are thousands of products for you to choose from here.

• I can't see the option of buying with One Third. What should I do?

  If you do not see the Pay using 1/3 Payment Promo option, then the product cannot be purchased via the One Third program.

• Is there really no interest?

  Alza is not a bank and therefore does not have to charge customers any interest. Just pay the remaining 2/3 of the price within 3 months and your bill is settled.

• What are the terms for paying the remaining amount?

  The only term you have is 3 months from the date of purchase. Everything else is up to you. You can pay the rest of the amount at once in one payment or distribute it in any number of instalments and send them whenever you want.

• What if I don't have the money to pay?

  If you find that you are unable to pay for the goods, you can return it at any time. In this case, you only pay for the rental of the goods, depending on the time you used it. This applies to each month commenced.

• Why can I pay by card only?

  Card payment is required for greater security and to prevent  misuse of this service. It is also possible to use a card saved online to automatically pay the balance on the due date.

• How can I pay the rest of the amount I owe?

  You can use the "Pay order" or "Pay part" buttons, which you will find located in  order details in My Orders. Alternatively, you can pay by bank transfer or at one of our stores.

• How can I collect my purchase?

  You can only pick up your order in person at one of our stores. Your personal presence is required as we need to verify your identity using your ID and you will need to sign a handover protocol. If we verify your identity using BankID, you can pick up your order at a store or an AlzaBox.

• Can I withdraw within from the contract within 14 days for a One Third purchase?

  Yes, you can if you conclude the contract remotely by verifying your identity using BankID. However, if we verify your ID at one of our stores, the contract is concluded in-store. Such a contract is not considered a distance contract, and therefore you cannot withdraw from it within 14 days.

• Can I combine a One Third purchase with the Christmas Gift Exchange service?

  Unfortunately, not. The Christmas Gift Exchange service cannot be used when purchasing goods through One Third.

• Can I use discount vouchers when purchasing through One Third?

  Unfortunately, you cannot use any discount vouchers or checks when purchasing items using One Third at the moment.

• What if I don't pay on time?

  If a customer does not pay the purchase price properly and on time, the customer may commit the crime of fraud and, in this case, we will be forced to file a criminal complaint. If you do not pay on time, our company will become the owner of the product and we can refer the case to a lawyer for enforcement. We would like to inform you that in addition to paying the purchase price, we can also ask you to pay interest on late payment and reimbursement of costs for court proceedings and/or execution proceedings.
