Asus EPU

Its main task is to automatically optimize power management in real time intelligently moderating power according to the current load on the PC. It is possible to achieve up to 80% less consumption across the entire computer. EPU can be directly activated from the motherboard switch or via the Al Suite II software utility. It is able to automatically reduce the voltage and therefore the CPU/memory, slow down the hard disk and fans, and can even act as a graphics card in a designated PCI Express slot. Other advantages of EPU is reflected by the reduction of fan noise and prolonged component life.
