The capacity (size) of the hard disk determines how much data the disc can accommodate.  

Each disk contains a metal or glass plate with a thin layer of magnetic material on top. The plates are rotated, most commonly at a speed of 7200 turns per minute (for server and high-performance models up to 10 or 15,000 rpm, for some low energy and 2.5" laptop discs only 5400 rpm). They are rigid in design - hence the name "hard" drive. Conventional 3.5" drives for desktop PCs feature 4 plates and 8 read heads (one head on each side of the plate).

SDD

SSD (Solid State Drive) drives are purely electronic - they store data in flash memory NAND - and do not work with any moving parts. As a result, they have a shorter reaction time but are less prone to mechanical damage. They are used mainly in laptops.

The USB 2.0 interface allows you to connect a wide range of equipment. It can be useful for connecting keyboards and mice, and is also suitable for printers, external drives, flash drives and other peripherals. You can input data from your mobile device or recharge the battery. 

USB 3.0 is 10 times fater than its predecessor (with which it is backwards compatible). The maximum data transmission speed can be used with flash drives, portable drives and external drives that support the USB 3.0 standard.

Display devices can be connected using connectors. HDMI is a widespread connector that is used to transmit video and audio signals. It transfers uncompressed video and audio signals and can be found in televisions, monitors and DVD players. Other connector types include digital DVI, DisplayPort or analog VGA.

The trend today in the smartphones is increasing the size of their displays. Gone are the days when we 
were looking at a one-line displays, today we can see 4 ", 5" and a Nexus 6 even has a 6-inch display.    

With the size of the display hand in hand increases the size of the device itself, which may be disadvantage for some. One disadvantage is that it is less convenient to carry. 4-inch smart phone can be operated with one hand, a larger display, however, requires the involvement of both hands. Larger screen, is great for surfing the Internet, playing games or watching videos or looking at photos. Device with display between 5 and 7 inches is sometimes called phablet, somewhere between phone and tablet.  

Tablets

The era of the tablets was launched in 2010 by the iPad. Supporters of tablets appreciate their ease of use and mobility. 6 "to 7" tablets are light, 8 "and 10" represent a good compromise between mobility and usability and a 12 "tablet is primarily for work.

Notebooks

Diagonal size of a laptop is one of the fundamental parameters when purchasing it. The most widespread dimension is the 15.6 ".

• 14 "- for travel and work in the office
• 15.6 "- for office work, games and multimedia
• 17.3 "- for office work, games and multimedia

Allows individual processor cores to run faster than the base frequency, assuming that circumstances (current consumption, temperature of cores) permit it. Intel processors are equipped with turbo Boost technology. 

 
Intel Celeron and Pentium
These series offer less power and are suitable for laptops, particularly for simple office work and entertainment. Their lower frequency and lesser cache memory is compensated for by their lower purchase price.

Intel Core
The Intel Core series perform at a much higher level. They are further divided into 5categories, which indicate the approximate overall performance. The individual processor models within the same range can vary considerably, not only according to the technology used and performance, but also the number of cores.

AMD

If you are after a high-performance processor, choose the A series, which is divided into four categories:

• A4
• A6
• A8
• A10

AMD E series processors offer efficient operation and long battery life.

This number provides information on the specifics of the processor. The fourth-generation Haswell starts with the number four, the fifth generation Broadwell with five, and so on. Those models labelled "HQ" (High Performance Graphics) offer high graphics performance, whereas models designated "U" (Ultra-low power) can be found in ultrabooks with low power consumption. Some models support virtualisation or Turbo Boost functions, which increases the processor frequency when needed.
