Bowens attachment

The Bowens mount is a standardized system used to quickly and securely attach accessories such as softboxes to studio lights and flashes. It is what is known as a bayonet lock, which means that the accessory is placed on the light and securely locked in place with a slight twist. This system is easily recognizable thanks to the three characteristic metal teeth that fit into corresponding holes on the light. A special adapter ring, known as a "speedring", is required to connect the softbox, which is fitted with this particular Bowens bayonet. This makes it possible to use a softbox with this attachment on any studio flash that is compatible with the Bowens standard, regardless of the manufacturer of the light or softbox. Its extension simplifies selecting and combining equipment from different brands and ensures that the accessories you purchase will work with your light.
