The Certified category of drone operations is intended for flights with the highest degree of risk, comparable to the risk in classical aviation. This category includes operations such as the transport of persons, the transport of dangerous goods, or flying over assemblies of people. Strict certification from the aviation authority is required for carrying out such flights. This means that not only the drone itself must undergo an approval process, but its operator must also obtain certification, and the pilot must hold a corresponding certificate of competency.
