A clamp module for a power meter is a component that serves to connect electrical wires safely and clearly to the meter itself. It is a block, usually made of durable plastic, in which the metal terminals for the individual conductors are placed. The incoming and outgoing electrical cables are inserted into these terminals and tightened securely to ensure reliable contact. The module contains connection points for the so-called 'phase conductors', which supply the electrical energy, and for the 'neutral conductor', which completes the electrical circuit. Its main purpose is to provide a standardised and stable interface between the power wiring in the building and the sensitive meter circuits. This prevents problems such as overheating of connections or inaccurate measurements caused by poor contact.
