A combined hob is an appliance that integrates two or more different types of heating on a single surface. Most commonly, you will find a combination of induction zones and gas burners, or induction and ceramic radiant zones. This allows the user to take advantage of different technologies as needed when preparing various dishes. For example, they can cook on fast and energy-efficient induction, which heats the bottom of the pot directly using magnetism, and simultaneously use a gas burner for open-flame cooking, which some culinary procedures require. Another option is the combination of gas with ceramic zones, where heat is generated by a heating coil under the glass. Each part of the hob functions independently and is controlled separately.
