Combination soldering iron

A combination soldering iron is a soldering station that combines several different tools for soldering and desoldering electronic components in one body. Most often it is a combination of a classic contact microsolder and a heat gun. The contact microsolder is used for conventional soldering, where the tip of the soldering iron directly touches the solder joint and tin to heat them and bond the components to the circuit board. It is used for components with wire leads. The heat gun, on the other hand, works non-contact. It produces a stream of precisely regulated hot air that heats the circuit board and the soldered component. This method is particularly suitable for working with modern SMD components, which are small electronic components soldered directly to the surface of the circuit board, without wire leads running through the board. Thanks to this combination, one device offers the possibility to work with different types of electronic components. Some models can also be equipped with additional tools, such as a tin extractor for easier removal of old connections. The entire device is controlled from a single base station that provides power and temperature control for all connected tools.
