Drill with impact drill

The impact drill is a power tool that combines two basic functions. Firstly, it works like a conventional drill, which means that it turns the drill bit to create holes in materials such as wood, plastic, plasterboard or metal. Its main added value is the "tapping" function. When activated, usually by means of a switch on the drill body, the tool starts to perform quick, short strokes in the drilling axis in addition to rotating. This mechanical impact helps to break up hard and brittle materials, making drilling into masonry, brick or concrete easier and faster. The rotating motion of the drill bit then removes the crushed material from the hole.
