Elinchrom attachment

The Elinchrom mount is a specific type of bayonet used to attach accessories such as softboxes, reflectors or "beauty dishe" to studio lights. This system was developed by the Swiss company Elinchrom and is characteristic of its flash and permanent lights. Each lighting manufacturer may use a different mounting system, so it is important to ensure compatibility between the light and the light modifier. Thus, accessories with an Elinchrom bayonet mount cannot be directly fitted to other brands of lights, for example with Bowens type mounts, unless a special reducer or adapter is used. The bayonet itself features a smaller diameter and a specific locking mechanism that ensures a tight and secure connection.
