EMarble material

Filament is basically a string of plastic that is inserted into a 3D printer. The printer melts this string and gradually builds the desired object layer by layer. One of the most common materials for this purpose is PLA, which stands for polylactic acid. This is a bioplastic that is made from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugar cane. This makes it easy to print, it does not require high temperatures and it is almost odourless when melted. EMarble is a modified version of this PLA. Its base is still PLA, but small solid particles are mixed into the material, usually in a dark colour. During printing, these particles are irregularly distributed in the layers, creating a visual effect that resembles real marble. The main benefit of this material therefore lies in its specific appearance, which makes it possible to create models with the aesthetics of stone, such as statuettes, vases or architectural elements. As EMarble is based on PLA, it retains its key printing properties, especially ease of use.
