Engraving cutter

An engraving cutter is a specialized rotary tool designed to create very fine and detailed features on the surface of a material. Unlike conventional milling cutters that remove large amounts of material, its main task is to cut thin lines, lettering, logos or intricate ornaments. Its characteristic feature is its very sharp and pointed tip, which is most often in the shape of a "V". The angle of this tip, for example 30, 60 or 90 degrees, determines the width and depth of the groove created. A smaller angle means a finer and narrower line, while a larger angle is suitable for wider engravings or for beveling edges, a technique known as "V-carving". Another parameter is the diameter of the tip itself, which can be as small as 0.1 millimetres, defining the minimum possible line thickness. It is used to work with various materials such as wood, plastics, acrylics or soft metals such as aluminium and brass. With its shape and purpose, it is predestined for use in CNC machines or manual top milling machines for precise decorative and marking work.
