FPV goggles

FPV goggles are display devices that a pilot wears on their head and which receive a live video signal from a camera mounted on a drone. The abbreviation FPV stands for „First Person View“. This allows the pilot to see exactly what the drone is capturing, creating the impression as if they were sitting directly in its cockpit. Inside the goggles, there are one or two small displays, a signal receiver, and antennas. Two main video transmission systems are distinguished: analog and digital. Digital systems provide higher quality images with less interference, while analog systems typically have lower signal latency, which is preferred for racing. This method of control enables the pilot to achieve very precise and immersive piloting.
