Kinetic energy

Controllers with the parameter called "Kinetic Energy" are specific in that they do not require an external power source such as batteries or mains electricity to operate. The principle of this technology is to harness the energy of flowing water. Inside the device, usually directly in the valve, there is a small turbine. When the irrigation is started and water starts to flow through the system, the water flow turns this turbine. The movement of the turbine generates a small amount of electricity, which is sufficient to power the control electronics. This energy allows the unit to store the set irrigation program and to control the opening and closing of the valve. This makes it possible to install such control units in remote locations where it is difficult or expensive to run electrical cables, while eliminating the need for regular battery replacement.
