MagSafe is a technology utilizing an array of magnets arranged in a circle in the back of compatible phones, typically iPhones from model 12 and newer. The same magnets are also found in accessories, such as wireless chargers. The main function of MagSafe in the context of charging is the automatic and precise attachment of the charger to the ideal spot on the back of the phone. This ensures an optimal connection for wireless charging, leading to efficient and reliable power transfer. The user thus does not have to search for the correct position as with conventional "Qi" standard wireless chargers. In addition to charging, this magnetic system also serves for the simple and firm attachment of other accessories, such as cases, wallets, or car mounts.
