The Media Bridge function allows a WiFi extender to receive a wireless signal from the main router and convert it into a wired connection. Devices that do not have their own WiFi module, such as some older smart TVs, gaming consoles, or desktop computers, can then be connected to the extender via a network cable into its so-called "Ethernet ports". In this way, the extender serves as a wireless adapter for devices that can only connect to the internet via cable, and allows them network access without the need to run a long cable from the router.
