MS polymer silicone

MS polymer silicone is a modern type of sealant and adhesive based on hybrid technology. This means that it combines the best properties of two different types of materials, namely silicones and polyurethanes. What it takes from silicone is its lasting flexibility and high resistance to UV rays and weathering, which allows it to work in the exterior for a long time. From polyurethanes it takes its exceptional strength and excellent adhesion to a wide range of surfaces. This combination makes it a versatile product that can not only seal joints but also bond materials firmly. It can be used on concrete, wood, metal, plastic, glass and many other surfaces, often without the need for a primer and on slightly damp substrates. Unlike most conventional silicones, MS polymer is recoatable with conventional paints once cured. As it is chemically neutral, it does not corrode metals or damage sensitive materials. It is used for sealing expansion joints in floors and walls, bonding window sills, thresholds, tile panels or as a sealant in bathrooms and around windows.
