The plough fork has a solid tine which is ideal for ploughing and working harder and compacted soil. Compared to a conventional spade, they do not cut the soil and are more gentle on the soil structure and soil organisms. They are used not only for aerating the soil, but also for spreading compost or manure. Their wider and more robust design makes them suitable for more demanding work and deeper soil interventions, for example when working with clay or stony soil.
