Spacer pads

Spacer pads are used to define a safe space between the helmet shell and the mounted Plexiglas. When installed, these small plastic or rubber rollers are inserted on screws between the outside of the helmet and the Plexiglas itself. This ensures that the Plexiglas does not directly contact the helmet, eliminating unwanted stresses on the material. In practice, this means that the washers compensate for the different widths of the helmet and the Plexiglas and prevent the shell from being scratched or the visor from cracking due to pressure. This type of accessory is used on most fitting kits to ensure the correct fitting of the eye protection. The use of washers results in a stable fit of the plexi without the risk of deformation.
