Threadless Piercing

Threadless piercing, also known as "push-pin" or "press-fit", is a type of piercing jewelry that consists of two separate parts. One part is a hollow post, often in the form of a labret, which is inserted into the piercing channel. The second part is a decorative end, to which a thin, slightly bent pin is attached. The two parts connect by inserting the pin into the hollow post. The slight bend of the pin creates tension that reliably holds the jewelry together without the need for any screwing. This mechanism allows for easy and quick replacement of decorative ends without having to remove the post from the body. Furthermore, the smooth surface of the threadless post is gentle on the tissue during both insertion and wearing of the jewelry.
