WAS bayonet

The WAS bayonet type plug is a specific type of electrical connector from the manufacturer WAS, which is used to connect lighting on trailers and semi-trailers. Its main characteristic is the bayonet lock, which is a connection system that works on the principle of "put on and turn". Thanks to this mechanism, the connection is very strong, reliably secured against spontaneous loosening due to shocks during driving, and often sealed against the ingress of water and dirt. This connector system is part of a modular wiring harness that greatly simplifies the installation or replacement of damaged lights. This eliminates the need to cut and splice individual wires, as the light is simply disconnected from the bayonet connector and replaced with a new piece.
