The BESIP group refers to the classification of car seats according to the weight of the child, based on the older European standard ECE R44/04. This system is still commonly used in the Czech Republic. Within this classification, car seats are divided into several groups corresponding to certain weight ranges of the child. Group 0: for children up to 10 kg (approx. 0-9 months). Group 0+: for children up to 13 kg (approx. 0-12/15 months). Group I: for children from 9 to 18 kg (approx. 9 months - 4 years). Group II: for children from 15 to 25 kg (approx. 3-7 years). Group III: for children from 22 to 36 kg (approx. 6-12 years). Group III (booster seats): designation for booster seats without back support, intended for older children in Group III.
