Extender

An extender, sometimes also referred to as a "repeater", is a device used to extend the range of an existing Wi-Fi wireless network. It works by receiving the signal from the main Wi-Fi router and then transmitting it further. This way, it helps cover areas in the home or office where the original signal does not reach or is too weak, such as distant rooms, floors, or the garden. For proper functioning, the extender needs to be placed in a location where the signal from the router is still strong enough, and not in an area without any signal. It is important to note that the extended network generally has a lower transmission speed than the network broadcast directly from the router, because the device must communicate simultaneously with both the router and connected clients, such as phones or laptops.
