I bought the router as an attempt to improve the home network in a large apartment. The previous configuration, when I was using a Huawei modem from the provider and TP link extender, led to failures during zoom inches, the office was too far for this setup, and switching between wifinami was annoying. My main goal was therefore higher speed and stability on remote cally at home office, and mesh. So I connected this router using etherner cable to the modem from the provider. The initial setup went quite smoothly, I had wifi immediately. I chose Asus rtax57 as my second mesh device, which also plugged into the mesh immediately. I divided the wifi into a 2.4GHz network for non-priority devices and a 5GHz network for priority devices. Furthermore, the router configuration allows for specific device prioritization, and even adaptive work-from-home configuration where bandwidth is prioritized for specific applications such as zoom, teams, etc. I'm excited about the initial results of the 5G bandwidth in particular. I got 500Mbps download from my provider. With the original setup on the 5G network, I was getting max speeds of around 80 to 90Mbps in my office, less than 10% of the maximum speed. With the new configuration in the office I reach about 300 to 350Mbps, i.e. over 60%. That's a great result for me for not having to pull a single cable. I am a layman, ChatGPT helped me a lot with the configuration. Attached is a comparison of the speeds in the apartment before and after.
