We bought it based on our experience with the SMS4HTW33E dishwasher we have at the cottage. There is no cutlery drawer, just a small basket on the bottom floor. All of our cutlery won't fit, so we chose a model with a cutlery drawer where more should (and will) fit.
When you're used to the basket, initially putting your cutlery in that drawer annoys you (it has to be stacked in those gaps to wash it nicely), but if you straighten it up nicely, you can take all the knives/forks/ when you clean it out. and clean them all up at once, which is better than picking them out of a basket. You'll get used to it.
We have different cookware at home than we do at the cottage, so even though the top baskets are the same (I didn't have them side by side and didn't measure them, but they look exactly the same), none of the things I list here as drawbacks show up there. From the back, this dishwasher seems to be less acoustically isolated than our previous 15 year old AEG. Although you can't hear the pump, but instead (or maybe because of it) you can hear the splash of water from behind. It's not a big deal, if it's tucked under a line somewhere in the middle, you probably won't even hear it.
I connected the dishwasher to the app just so I know what the smart features are on the dishwasher. So.
- You can start or stop the dishwasher remotely (which is pretty useless, given that you have to fold the dishes by hand anyway), - you can see the exact water and energy consumption of the individual programs (it's in the manual too), - you can download a total of 4 extra programs that you can run from the app (there's one that's 36 minutes long, which can sometimes come in handy),
- you can see if you are running low on salt or polish (according to the manual it should also be indicated on the display), if you are running low you get an extra notification.
- you will get a notification (even on your watch) that the dishwasher is finished, and you can run to clean it wherever you are.
It's just a dishwasher - a white box with a door, you put the dishes in and it washes well. Someone wrote here that it smells like plastic - it does a bit, after about 15 cycles it stopped with both washers.
Really washes nicely
It has a relatively fast program (1h5min)
Doesn't open the door when the program is finished - doesn't destroy the laminate panels on the counter
It also has a nozzle in the ceiling ( even the model without cutlery drawer)
Very easy to position upper basket
It can be drained so that it is not damaged by frost
width and depth exactly 60, so it did not fit in place of the original built-in
The cutlery drawer takes up space (who knew? ), so our wine glasses (height 18cm) will not fit into the upper floor by about 3mm. The upper basket is exceptionally easy to position, but it cannot be lowered because the plates (26cm diameter) would not fit down. The tilting handles on the sides solve this to some extent, but the jars have thin feet and don't hold in, so they slip out when the basket moves and stand up on their own. If you have tall wine glasses with thin legs and large plates, the cutlery drawer is not for you.
The profiling and stops of the upper basket are such that neither our cups nor our bowls fit in there very well - they are so balanced and they roll when the half-empty basket moves.
