Probably the most "smart" watch from the Garmin stable, although it still lags behind WearOs.
Appearance, thickness, weight
Comfortable nylon strap, you won't even feel the watch on your hand for a while
Weaker BT and NFC range compared to watches with WearOs
SoC performance on the edge
5 ATM - 10 would be better.
Non-standard strap width - 24mm

I was tempted by the large display and low weight, but I installed Topo Czech and after 3 hours of navigation in the field the watch used 50% of the battery, that seems a lot to me: -(! Navigating the map on the touchscreen is purgatory. No matter how hard I try, the display scrolls wherever it wants and my hands are dry. I can't imagine doing it in the rain or with sweaty fingers. Controlling the watch during sports is quite difficult. For swimming, for example, I had the problem of how to save activities when touch is off while swimming and the two buttons can't scroll through the menu. In the end, I didn't even save the activity because the watch crashed and restarted. And I've had restarts in other activities as well. Otherwise, the Czech menu is hell, there are sometimes abbreviations used that don't make sense, for example "in enough. Take. from trees and plants. The watch is good to wear, unless you're going to play sports and go outdoors with it, but then another watch for a few crowns would do. Disappointing for me, I may have to return them and I was so looking forward to them: -(.
really big display
thin watch body
very light
comfortable belt
great functional equipment
very high consumption
unstable system, often crash
the touchscreen is strangely responsive
despite the large display, many of the readings are the same size as on smaller Garmin watches (the engineers probably just copied the features and didn't adapt them to the larger display: -( )
although the materials used are of good quality, the watch's clashing does not impress me well
The Czech watch menu is sometimes confusing.

Amazingly light
Resistant
They take a minute to recharge
Finally a Garmin product that you can sleep with. Spani with F8, Tactix8 etc. She was a nightmare for me!
The battery personally lasts me 4 days during everyday sports. That's enough for me.
The unconventional look and zero thickness are a nice change
Nothing for me.

Compared to the Garmin Phoenix 8 Pro, you don't even know you have something on your hand. The wearability is really cool! You can stuff them into any sleeve and they don't get in the way. So far I have not encountered any reboots or system crashes during activity. Apparently this is already fixed by updates.
light, thin
beautiful and large display
Touch controls may be unusual for some, after years of using classic, push-button garmins

Unfortunately, after a week of wearing, the clasp on the strap slipped and the watch fell to the floor. I've never had that happen with the AW Ultra
cheap-looking, damage-prone plastic rails

The watch would be great if it didn't reboot almost every time you worked out. in 9 days the watch restarted 7 times, each time during a workout (6 times during strength training when entering the number of reps in a series, once when a notification from the phone came at the same time as the start of the run). The watch looks and behaves great, you can see a lot more on the square display than the round one (I'm switching from the Galaxy Watch), but with the current instability and unreliability, I can't recommend it. It seems to be a SW problem that hasn't gone away even after three updates. Garmin tech support was initially interested in the case, but is now letting it fester. I recommend waiting a couple of months or reaching for another proven watch.

Some people complain about the low battery life - thanks to the smaller battery this is probably the case. I still have an Epix 2nd generation and an Instinct 2 Solar with MIP display that should last a very long time. If you do nothing, you will know the difference. But with my 4-6 hours of activity a day with all sensors and headphones active, it doesn't matter if you have an AMOLED or MIP display, you still recharge once every 2-4 days. It won't be much different with the Venu X1 in my experience. I missed my square watch for years, I'm glad I have it again 😉
Large, bright and fine display
Slightly upgraded interface, but inside is Garmin as you know it
Thin and very light, you can't feel them on your hand
very clear data screens for activities, e.g. the pace or heart rate graphs are beautifully readable and useful thanks to the large display.
Maps Topo Czech 5.0. The large display makes pinch to zoom work.
flashlight (it really shines surprisingly well)
Most features comparable to Fenix 8 (except for diving resistance (OK for swimming or snorkeling), ECG and multiband GPS)
very good quality of calls made via wrist
completely different controls - especially for someone used to five buttons. But it's a matter of habit, not the minus of the watch.
