The Hub technically works, but it has a few BUTs. The first is that it takes up all the USB-C not the left side. Another disadvantage is that it gets very hot (you can't keep your hand on it). The main drawback I would see though is that, although you don't find out about it beforehand, the product is not 2xHDMI over Thunderbolt USB-C - the monitors in the hub are seen as "external" monitors on the Mac, you have to have an app installed and running on the hub and "projection" to the monitors is handled through that app. The Hub technically handles 4K monitors, but the quality of the transmitted image is terrible, it's just enough to read static texts, nothing more. Imagine the quality as if you were watching a stream that you pause with the pause button. In addition, I feel that the USB3 ports on the hub electromagnetically interfere with my dongle to the wireless mouse.
