I bought this amplifier for use with an Audio-Technica AT-LP2X turntable and OneOdio Monitor 80 headphones. Originally, I wanted to switch the turntable to PHONO output and use the tube preamplifier that the xDuoo MT-02 boasts. With this connection, it was possible to set the volume to a comfortable level for me, but the treble and bass seemed to disappear from the music. Even after heating the tubes. Subsequently, I tried to use the built-in preamplifier of the record player - the xDuoo MT-02 worked only as an amplifier. The bass and treble returned, the music sounded beautiful, full, but there was a problem with the volume setting. At listenable volume levels, it boosted the right channel more than the left, so my music played mostly in my right ear and almost nothing in my left. This problem disappeared only when the volume was turned up to a deafening level. I' m not an expert in audio technology, but it seems to me that this amplifier is too powerful for most headphones that are sold and does not work very well as a preamplifier - the one built into my record player sounds incomparably better. I returned the amplifier/preamplifier within the legal deadline.
