I switched from the 7600X. With the PBO -20, the all core power consumption reached 88W and the temperatures were around +55C compared to the water temperature in the circuit. 9800X3D can run 140W on default and reports the same temperature (with different temperature sensors). Handbrake is noticeably faster, volumetric effects are now smooth (before quite a slideshow), but the overall gaming benefit will only develop with the new GPU. Otherwise, to all those who can't wait. I don't know if I'm unlucky, but my BIOS in the current version is pretty dumpster fire. Hopefully when the market looks better, BIOSes will be ironed out.
