reliable, fast
it is necessary to upgrade the firmware, which has a security flaw from the factory (a flaw affecting most routers, not only asus)

wide range of settings
good signal range
nicely designed administration interface
functional QoS (unlike many other routers)
guest network
print server, DLNA
price
the listed transfer speeds are really very theoretical (in the throughput benchmark I actually got barely 80 Mbps 5G <-> GLAN)

Surper speed and settings
Without a public IP address, I couldn't get the VPN server to work - but that's not the device's fault.

Clear web interface and easy installation. Excellent transmitting performance, possibility to turn off the LEDs on the router body. Remote management via mobile app. Built-in content filtering security for children. Built-in antivirus solution as a bonus with easy setup and clear event monitoring.
When reserving IP addresses under DHCP, the router will reboot the device and momentarily disconnect all connected devices. It's not like it's a minus, it just delays the configuration.
