After 8 years, my older Bosch fridge went to heaven. It worked perfectly all the time, and then suddenly. not a peep. Rather than pay for an expensive repair for scarce spare parts, I decided to get a new fridge and after a positive experience, of course Bosch. The new fridge is bigger and more spacious and once you get used to the Bosch controls, you have no problem with the new fridge of the same brand. I appreciate the really simple assembly of the door on the left opening, even a layman can do it. But you need to get star keys. When leveling the fridge with a spirit level, it would be a good idea to pack a 22-jku wrench with the fridge, not everyone has one at home. The fridge consumes 162 kWh/year (my old fridge consumed 147 kWh/year), but it's not that much of a difference. I hope it lasts at least as long as the old one. In the meantime, Bosch is sure to offer innovations that will reduce consumption even further. The fridge cools perfectly, I appreciate the touch screen for temperature adjustment. The alarm is loud enough (if you forget to close the door) and, as with the old fridge, I appreciate the vacuum door closing. Expect to pay extra for quality, but it's worth it. In addition, you will appreciate the very quiet operation, which you will not hear in the kitchen corner connected to the living room. I paid extra for an extra two year warranty on the fridge, just like the old fridge. I didn't use it on the old fridge, but just in case. Running a household without a fridge is unthinkable these days, especially in warmer weather. I recommend this fridge to everyone, whether you choose this one or another Bosch. You just plug it in and forget about it. It does what it's supposed to do - cool/freeze. And very well.
