The big minus I see is that the filter you put in the top of the kettle is not completely tight. This creates a gap between the bottom of the upper kettle and the filter, where water flows in but no longer drains out. So once every two days you have to take out the filter and pour out some water so you don't get algae. Just a poorly thought-out design. I bought this kettle for work. I have another one at home, almost the same price, and the water from the other one tastes much better too.
