Basically, it does what was declared and except for small things, so far, satisfaction. Especially with the print quality.
Installation into WIN 10 (64) is quite a problem. The automatic installation from the included CD failed to install the printer. Repeatedly the error message - printer not connected appeared, telling me to connect it and continue with the installation. By installing it seamlessly on a MacBook, connected by cable, I verified that the cable to the printer was fine, that the fault was somewhere else. It was only by manually entering the installation steps that I was able to install the printer. But beware. You need to use the printer driver name from the included CD as the printer name. I used the name of one of the drivers (there were two) Canon Generic Plus PCL6. It rejected the Canon i-SENSYS MF643Cdw printer name as incorrect. Then everything went smoothly.
When I installed it, I did not find a program that I could use to make requests from the PC when scanning documents. Maybe someone can help. So I go through Control Panel>Devices>Printers and Scanners. This way works. It should be noted that the scanner is called something completely different from the printer. Mine installed as MF642C/643C/644C.
When I tried to print from a USB device, I was unable to navigate to the next directory via the printer control panel and select the document to print.

I was buying a new printer because the old HP LJ1150 is slowly ending after 10 years. Based on reviews, fumkcii and the price of the toner, I chose canon, as the competitor was the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw multifunction printer. The difference in price was 100eur. Another factor was the price of compact toners. Canon 054 - from 18 euros/ HP 207A from 32 euros (almost double the price).
duplex printing - the cheapest colour multifunction printer with duplex
price compared to HP +price of compact toners
Scan to email
network printing wifi/eth
initial setup of the scan to email - but there are videos on this
noise - it is the same as my old HP LJ1150
weight, dimensions - but still acceptable; you need to measure how much space it takes up
