Despite promising fantastic properties, this tube creates far more resistance, even by feel when pulling the filament through by hand, than the original, standard tube of the same length. When printing with any filament other than silk, the printer (P2S) randomly reports a problem with the extruder because it's really struggling to pull the filament through it. I had to turn off the detection; the printer can manage, but it's clearly on the edge. I had tried a tube with a star-shaped profile, which was supposed to be better than the classic one, and it was actually slightly worse. This one is several orders of magnitude worse still. Therefore, I see no relevant reason to choose any tube other than the classic 4/2mm one. A huge disappointment, unfortunately.

It's a rather tight fit – it sits on the filament perfectly, but it's no problem to thread the filament through the whole 1m tube, so that's OK. However, if I were to trim the filament imprecisely, i.e. if I 'snapped' it and the sharp edges were sticking out to the sides, it wouldn't get through.
