Hyper X Cloud II I have owned this product for about 3 years and the experience with them was very good. When you buy the headphones themselves, you get them in the package. The packaging is relatively good, the headphones are packed in foam so there is a good chance that they will not break in transit. The package also has: - Headphones - USB cable with “sound card“ at the other end - Microphone that plugs in - Quick Start manual - Strange. red things, it looks like something that can be exchanged with stock shells but I don' t know until now. The first thing you will see when the box unpacks is. another box. And what you will see in it is a Quick start manual, lying on foam. The quick start manual will show the basic setup which I think is a very straight forward. But things different between operating systems are a bit limited. While yes, most people who buy HyperX headphones are game players, it would be nice to give instructions for Linux instead of just Windows and macOS. After removing the foam plate, you will see the goods. In the middle of the headphones, next to them a microphone and under the headphones the red things I was talking about. First, the headphones. These headphones use a 3.5 mm headphone jack to connect to the card or when you want to completely discard the card. This is good because if you want to plug headphones into something that doesn' t have a USB port, you can use it. In my experience, the 3.5 mm connector is fragile. When I use it on a mobile, the cable must be at a specific angle. Next, “red stuff.“ I' ll be honest when I unpacked these headphones, I didn' t have the slightest pair of how these things work. And I still don' t know. Now that I' m writing this review, I think it' s probably a substitute for stock shells, because I once managed to partially remove one of the stock shells. Finally, the sound card. This is a “hub“ where you can control the headphone volume, microphone volume and also has a toggle on 7.1 surround sound. I can' t describe how much of a difference there is in quality when comparing 7.1 to Stereo. It' s like someone living their whole life under the sea and then getting to Sněžka. This card is also good because it is able to give modularity. For example: Has your sound card broken? No problem, buy headphones and vice versa. The problem is that HyperX doesn' t sell the headphones / sound card itself, so you have to buy * everything *. So, a smaller summary. Is this product good? Who is it for? Honestly, these headphones are perhaps the best bang-for-the-buck headphones for gamers. I don' t think there' s anything better for 2,000. And for who it is, well, I' ve practically said that now, but I think the target demographics for these headphones are players who want good headphones but don' t want them to stand the same as a graphics card. Just bang-for-the-buck
Super sound quality
7.1 Surround sound is * chef' s kiss * (But I' m not an audiophile so my standards are lower)
The microphone broke after about a month of use
Missing option for modularity

I finally decided to buy, try and test these HyperX Cloud 2 headphones. Some say they are perfect and some say they would never buy them in their life, so I thought I had to try them for myself. First of all, I would like to start with a positive evaluation. After the first fitting, the headphones are quite comfortable, the earcups are well padded as is the headband. They are a little tight on the head, but fortunately the pressure is distributed evenly around the ears. The build quality of the headphones is at a pretty good level. It is durable, but at the same time flexible enough not to crack when overstretched. Before I start discussing the microphone, I would like to point out that I am not comparing the recording quality with external microphones, only with similar microphones of his own. The microphone has acceptable recording quality. He will understand you well. Depths are perfect, heights are a little worse, but still usable. While I find the microphone in gaming headsets a bit unnecessary, none can match an external one. These headphones have below average frequency response consistency. This means that for some people the bass and treble will sound clear and accurate and for others they will be perceived a little differently (e.g. the highs will be less clear or the bass less dense. ) With the glasses on, a noticeable drop in bass can be felt as the glasses arm has broken the airtight seal between the headphones and the head. The bass is the best thing about these headphones. The low and mid bass are relatively flat. The result is a bass that is capable of creating a really cool punch. However, the high bass is a little more emphasised than the midbass, so the sound is very slightly boomy. Also, their bass performance varies greatly from user to user and is sensitive to the quality of the fit, seal and whether you wear glasses. Wednesdays performance is remarkable. The low and mid frequencies are virtually flat, providing a clean mix with well-balanced vocals and lead instruments. What really frustrates me about these headphones is the quality of the treble response. This has a negative effect on the detail and articulation of vocals. The headphones are noticeably hissy, harsh and unpleasant sounding on overly bright tracks. Sound Verdict: The HyperX Cloud 2 are decent gaming headphones, but I wouldn't recommend them just for listening to music. Gaming headphones have good bass and balanced mid-range, but poor treble reproduction. They lack a bit of detail and also sound slightly harsh in some tracks due to the inconsistent pitch range. On the other hand, they are comfortable and sound good enough for normal listening. Playing Verdict: The HyperX Cloud 2 headset is especially suitable for gaming. They have low latency, a USB or 3.5mm Jack cable connection, reasonably well-balanced sound reproduction and a sufficient microphone with noise filtering. They are comfortable enough to wear during long gaming sessions.
