I definitely recommend you purchase a shoulder or gooseneck as well. The microphone is lightweight, so even cheaper pieces can hold it without a problem. The included plastic stand transmits all sounds from the table (logically, when in direct contact). The LED indication of the microphone mute status could be the opposite. The microphone now lights up if it is sensing, but if it is muted it does not light up. The opposite behavior would make more sense.

The microphone sounds nice, at least as far as classical playing and discord calls are concerned. The build quality is good and the microphone feels really solid. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the stand, which is there more just to have something there. It doesn't dampen vibrations at all, so any more subtle shaking of the table will cause the other side's ears to explode. Fortunately, the stand is adjustable and the horizontal position eliminates this a bit (or you can buy an arm/stand) Also a very annoying part is the red LED that lights up when the microphone is in use. If you press the button to turn it off (which I personally always do when I don't want to use it) the LED starts blinking, which is really surprisingly disturbing. And it annoyed so many people that HyperX released an update for it. But the official update path bricked my device and the microphone stopped working (W10 still detected it, but only as a generic Realtek device). It took me a lot of work to find a solution that returned the microphone to a usable state again, I was afraid that I would have to advertise the device. So watch out for that.
Really good sound
Construction quality (of the microphone, not the stand)
Detachable USB C cable
The LED flashes very annoyingly during mute. This can be fixed by updating the microphone firmware. But the official Ngenuity updater bricked my microphone and I had to search for a solution, which fortunately I managed to do. This is to fire both people - the one who designed the blinking diode and the one who will deliver the update that will turn your device into a brick
The stand is very cheap, the vibrations from the table are really well transmitted and you don't even have to pound on it, just put your hand on it. Part of the solution is to put the microphone in a horizontal position, where it's not so terrible, or buy a better stand/arm.

For this price, it offers very pleasant characteristics and good sound quality. It forms such a good base, but needs to be supplemented with additional equipment.

I bought the microphone with the assumption that it would fully replace my current Genesis Radium 300. I was very wrong! With the basic base, the HyperX SoloCast is absolutely unusable. As a gamer, I have experienced tremendous vibration transfer from even subtle keystrokes. Unfortunately, the placement on the shoulder in the "spider" didn't help either. Especially after equalization, every keystroke, let alone manipulation of something on the desk, was translated into disturbing, rumbling sound waves that degraded the recordings. People here write about how the sound is otherwise clear and noise-free, which is also not entirely true. In my case, there was no noise, but a humming, even a growling, which went away once and then came back again. I still don't know what it was, but the current microphone never did anything like that. Streams or recordings were therefore also degraded and the otherwise reliable noise reduction could not cope with this. I found the diode unnecessary, and after putting on the pop filter cap, the purpose of the mute function by tapping on the top of the microphone, which would have been quite nice in itself, disappeared completely. The sound quality as such, even without equalization, whether one spoke softly or loudly, everything registered satisfactorily and sounded good. But with the rest of it, at least for me, it's mostly about an unusable microphone that doesn't add much more than it seems to. I have returned the product and am happy to stick with my old microphone, which has more than adequately served its purpose over the years. SoloCast never again.
Good sound quality even without equalization.
Pretty handy feature to mute by tapping the top of the microphone, unless one has used the pop filter.
Transmission of all vibrations from the table (keyboard, etc. ), in conjunction with equalization, unusable output sound disturbed by strong rumble.
A random faint hum, a growl, against which normal noise is nothing. Noise cancellation didn't help.
Subjectively unnecessary diode and mute function, which mainly lacks meaning when a pop filter is deployed.
