I'm writing this review a few hours after the purchase, but since my purchase was prompted by hours of research into how I could transfer Dolby Atmos TrueHD (lossless) to my HW Q950A soundbar, I knew exactly what I was looking for. And the Shield Pro has done it perfectly. With a good driver and a fast interface, it can play 4k HDR files even with Dolby Atmos TrueHD soundtrack. (almost? ) No television can do that. And not many other players either. Shield was recommended everywhere and after a long search I am glad I finally decided to go for it.
Supports absolutely ALL multimedia codecs and standards for 2021
Dolby Atmos TrueHD passthrough to the soundbar - that's the only reason I needed it and thankfully it delivers
In addition, most good applications (Plex. ) allows you to see the exact codecs of the picture and sound, so you know exactly what is being transmitted to the TV and soundbar/receiver

The stand for 629 CZK is a mockery, I printed on a 3D printer from 20 grams of filament
Maybe a bit weaker wifi reception, but still sufficient for streaming 4k HDR bluray rips. Netflix 15 Mbps fine.

So this is an absolute bomb. I had some China boxes but this is a whole other dimension. Speed, sound, picture for the money you get the absolute top of the line smart boxes. Primarily I have it on Kodi and some net TV. Do not hesitate you will not regret it.
The pros are in everything no matter how you compare it to anything pretending to be an android box.
For me I just get that big Netflix button on the remote but for someone else it might be great.
