Over Bluetooth, the sound quality is of a high standard. Quite a great working ANC. The bass is adjustable, and the headphones do a great job of boosting it. Long battery life. For a reason unknown to me, when connected to a PC via the 3.5mm jack, the sound quality is terrible. Rapidly worse than Bluetooth. So you can't listen to music through the cable. I don't have this problem with wired other headphones. The headphones on by themselves are tinnitus. Even when no sound or music is playing, there is a slight noise. (With both ANC and Ambient sound turned off)

I bought the Sony WH-CH720N expecting good quality from a Sony product, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. The sound quality for listening to music is acceptable, but the microphone quality is extremely poor. During calls, especially on Microsoft Teams, my voice has a lot of background noise and interference, making communication difficult. I tested the headphones with multiple devices (phone and computer) to make sure it was not a configuration issue, but the problem remained the same. I opened a warranty claim with Alza explaining the issue, but the claim was rejected and the product was returned without solving the problem. For a headset in this price range, I expected much better microphone performance and customer support. I cannot recommend this product if you need it for work, online meetings, or calls.
