I bought two pieces - one for switching UHD video from laptop and androidbox to monitor, the other for splitting the signal from androidbox to monitor and soundbar. Neither use fulfilled its purpose.
The cables used are the highest quality HDMI20+ethernet.
First wiring: from the laptop to the monitor (43" HP Z43). The laptop recognized that the HDMI consumer was pinned, but no signal appeared on the monitor. Only when another HDMI/DisplayPort converter was connected to the output of the switch, the image was delivered to the monitor, unfortunately only at 30Hz(3840x2160).
Second wiring: the device does not behave in the other direction as a splitter, but again only as a switch. So you cannot split one HDMI signal to two receivers (monitor and soundbar).
Unfortunately, I am returning both, one unpacked, the other unpacked.
Under certain conditions, it works
IS NOT A DUPLICATOR!
Therefore, it cannot be used as an HDMI signal output to two devices simultaneously - monitor and soundbar

I hesitated for a long time what to buy, I use a hub for TV and projector. I have a passive amplifier and 24 m of cable behind the projector output. And everything's working.
Decent workmanship
Does not need power supply
Manual switching, must be in an accessible location

It switches without problems, but you have to wait, it takes about 5 seconds to switch.
I don't know yet.

It works both ways and without a problem. The installation was easy, even I managed.
I don't know of any yet, except perhaps that you have to go to the device and switch manually ( nowadays) to switch. But we don't mind.
