Batik production

A reserve dyeing process in which parts of the fabric are temporarily covered (e.g. by wax or binding) and then dyed, after the reserve is removed, to create unique, irregular patterns. Each piece is an original with a distinct aesthetic and handmade character. Permanence depends on the dyes and fixation chosen, and it is recommended to wash separately, especially for the first washes. The materials used are most often cotton, viscose or their blends.
