EPLA material

EPLA material, often referred to as "Enhanced PLA", is a modified version of the standard PLA or polylactic acid printing material. The "E" in the name refers to the enhanced properties, especially the higher toughness and impact resistance. While conventional PLA is relatively brittle and breaks easily when bent or impacted, EPLA is designed to be more flexible and less prone to breakage. This is achieved by modifying the chemical composition of the base material, which also improves the adhesion between the printed layers, increasing the overall strength of the print. In terms of the 3D printing process, EPLA behaves very similarly to conventional PLA, printing at comparable temperatures and requiring no special printer setup. It is used for printing functional parts, mechanical components or models where higher mechanical durability is required, but at the same time the ease of printability that is typical of PLA materials is emphasized.
