Monocular microscope

A monocular microscope is an optical instrument designed for observing magnified objects, characterized by having only one eyepiece, meaning the observer looks through it with one eye. This design causes the resulting image to be perceived as two-dimensional, or "flat," without spatial depth. Due to its simpler construction and the associated lower price, it is often used in education or for beginners and hobby observers. It is primarily suitable for examining thin and translucent specimens, such as cells or tissue sections on a slide. During prolonged work, observing with one eye can be more demanding on the user's eyesight and lead to faster fatigue.
