C3 Label

The C3 label is an identification mark for unmanned aircraft, i.e., drones, that fall into the specific C3 class according to European Union regulations. This class includes drones with a maximum take-off mass, professionally known as MTOM (Maximum Take-Off Mass), less than 25 kilograms. Drones with this label are intended for operation in the so-called "open" category, specifically in its subcategory A3, which means they can only be flown far from people, in areas where the presence of uninvolved persons is not expected. For a drone to bear this label, it must meet technical requirements, such as being equipped with a remote identification system and a geo-awareness system that informs the pilot about geographical zones and airspace restrictions.
