What is it?

VR is a technology that allows you to experience simulations and influence the virtual world as if you were in it.

What does VR even do?

The most popular VR product are VR games, where the player no longer just plays the game, but becomes an actual part of it. However, VR is used not only for games, but also for various applications. Imagine, for example, that you want to build a new house and you want to walk through it with the architect before the first brick is even laid down. VR also allows you to view classic photos and videos, but it’s particularly important for 360° footage. VR also has plenty of uses in educational applications, for example for athletes or soldiers.

How does virtual reality work?

The basic component are the VR goggles, which are equipped with one or two small but high-quality displays. Motion detection is handled in a number of ways, for example, using external sensors that detect the movement of the goggles and controllers.
